The history of writing from the Middle Ages to the present day.
From feather to computer, from parchment to blackboard, the history of school, writing and printing is told in the permanent exhibition "Scriptura", which is located in the room of the former arsenal of the castle.
The first part of the exhibition shows the school in the Middle Ages through 27 didactic panels. You will also be able to see a classroom that has been reconstructed as it was at the beginning of the XXᵉ century.
The next part of the exhibition highlights the influence of book printing, especially in Bouillon, in the XVIIIᵉ century.
The last part of the exhibition is dedicated to writing, where you can see a beautiful collection of old inkwells.

The visit to the permanent exhibition "Scriptura" is included in the castle entrance ticket.
