Hear ye, hear ye, good people !

On the weekend of August 9th and 10th 2025, come celebrate and fight at the 38th Medieval Festival of Bouillon !

Medieval markets FREE ENTRY

Many artisans will set up their stalls to showcase the best products from the Middle Ages : hypocras, mead, leather goods, jewelry, medieval costumes, and many other things.

These stalls will be spread across four locations : esplanade du château, esplanade des Sépulcrines, quai du Rempart and nearby pont de Cordemois (Boulevard Vauban).

Street entertainment FREE ENTRY

On Saturday and Sunday, starting at 2:00 PM, various medieval groups will parade through the city and animate the streets of Bouillon.

On Saturday, starting at 21:15 PM, a procession of knights, men-at-arms, and vikings illuminated by the flickering light of torches will march from the Cordemois bridge to the sound of the minstrels.

Mini-concerts are scheduled for the evening of Saturday, August 9th, at La Poulie, in Place Saint-Arnould and on the esplanade des Sepulcrines.

A fire show is also planned on the esplanade des Sepulcrines on Saturday evening.

Medieval camp FREE ENTRY

As in previous years, the locations "Champs Lévêque" and "Île de Calay" will host a camp worthy of the Middle Ages. Come discover ten centuries of history alongside nobles, knights, artisans, farmers...

Throughout the weekend, internationally renowned armored fighters will engage in medieval combat according to the rules of the time. You will also have the chance to witness real jousting tournaments. Exciting activities that will delight both young and old !

For children

Your children won't be forgotten and will be able to have a great time. Various activities are planned at different spots of the festival for them : a 200 m² combat arena, little page school, pony rides, and many other fun things !

Castle ENTRANCE FEE

At the castle, during the day, you will be able to meet different medieval groups guarding against invaders. During your visit, you might witness an unforgettable battle of fighters defending access to the castle.

Between falconry shows, there will be other musical performances and festivities.

!!! City entertainment, the medieval camp, and the medieval markets are free !!!

Entrance to the castle is charged. The "Medieval Pass" (20 euros for adults/seniors, 15 euros for children/students, and free for children under 4 years old) will allow you to explore one of the most impressive feudal relics in Belgium during the day and take part in numerous medieval activities. This pass also grants you access to the Ducal Museum and the "Bouillon Medieval Experience" during the day. In the evening, with the pass, come witness the impressive night show "The Odyssey of Light" in the castle's Honor Courtyard, which retraces the history of the castle in a breathtaking 180° show. Notes

On the day of your visit, to collect your pre-booked and pre-paid "Medieval Passes" from the Bouillon Castle ticket platform (Elloha), please go to the entrance of the castle !

!!! The last "Medieval Passes" will be issued no later than 45 minutes before closing time !!!

Sunday, August 10th : Last time = 5:45 PM

Due to the presence of birds of prey in the Honor Courtyard, dogs and other pets are not allowed inside the castle grounds !!!
The use of drones is prohibited inside and around the castle !!!
